Meet our CASA Staff

 

Court Administrator – Magistrate Richard M. Delzeith

Richard M. Delzeith is the current Magistrate for the Mercer County Probate/Juvenile Court. 

Richard was born and raised in St. Henry and continues to reside there with his wife Jenny.  Richard graduated Cum Laude from Heidelberg College in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Minor in Legal Studies. He received his J.D. from the Ohio Northern University and has been practicing law since 2009. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Mercer County Bar Association, Ohio Municipal Attorneys Association, and Ohio Association of Magistrates.  He is a past president of the Mercer County Bar Association. He is the past Village Solicitor for St. Henry and a Trustee for the St. Henry Community Club. He further volunteers his time for local charities.

Executive Director – Nick Schulze

Nick Schulze was born and raised in Maria Stein, Ohio. He is married and has 5 children and 11 grandchildren. Nick graduated from Marion Local High School in Maria Stein, Ohio. Nick began his career in 1974 by working for the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department. He retired from the Sheriff’s Department in 2000 at the rank of Lieutenant. Nick was also in charge of the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Program for Mercer County youth. Following his retirement from the Sheriff’s Department, Nick began work as a Mercer County Juvenile Court Probationer Officer. He held this position from 2000 – 2020.  From 1975 to present, Nick is the Mercer County School Systems Truancy Officer. Nick also spends a lot of time with his family and volunteering for local organizations. 

Coordinator of Volunteer Services – Kip Wright

Kip Wright was born and reared in Celina, Ohio.  He is the husband to Mary Wright, father of 2 children, and grandfather to 4 grandsons. Kip graduated from Celina Senior High School, earned an Associate’s Degree in Community Rehabilitative Services and a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership, both degrees from Wright State University Lake Campus. 

Kip Wright has a very extensive and diverse background of serving the residents of Mercer and surrounding counties. Kip has a long history of working for the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department, Mercer County Court of Common Pleas, Mercer Count Prosecutor’s Office, and Coldwater Police Department in many capacities. He further has an extensive history of training, teaching, and commanding potential law enforcement and corrections officers. He is currently an instructor at Wright State University Lake Campus in the Grand Lake Law Enforcement and Corrections Academies.  Kip also has a very extensive volunteer background involving everything from Mental Health, Wright State University Lake Campus, Chamber of Commerce, Youth Education Programs, Youth Leadership Programs, Law Enforcement, and Coaching YMCA Activities.
